Michele Fasolino is Director, Client Engagements at Proactive Consultancy Group, where he plays a key role in managing the delivery of complex VAT advisory, recovery and dispute engagements.

A qualified management accountant with extensive experience across finance, commercial management and business operations, Michele brings a strong understanding of financial systems, transactional data, management information and the commercial arrangements that often underpin complex VAT matters.

At Proactive Consultancy Group, Michele works closely with clients throughout the lifecycle of VAT engagements, coordinating the collection and review of financial records, contracts, transactional information and supporting evidence required to assess and progress claims and disputes.

He is closely involved in substantial VAT recovery projects, historic VAT reviews and matters involving disputed VAT treatments, helping to ensure that client information is organised effectively and that engagements progress efficiently between the client, the firm’s technical team and HM Revenue & Customs.

Michele’s combination of financial expertise, commercial understanding and client-management experience is particularly valuable in complex VAT matters where the technical position must be supported by detailed financial evidence and a clear understanding of how the underlying business operates.

Working alongside the Managing Partner and the firm’s wider VAT team, Michele helps ensure that each engagement is managed with a strong focus on accuracy, responsiveness and effective client communication.
